The University for Peace (UPEACE) is pleased to offer the second online course on “Peace and Conflict Studies; The Foundation Course”. This is a 10 weeks course, will be presented from 4 October to 10 December, by UPEACE faculty members: Dr. Amr Abdalla and Dr. Victoria Fontan.

This course is offered for academic credit or for training purposes. It focuses on concepts of conflict resolution in order to achieve Peace. The course will interest individuals from a broad range of disciplines and professions, especially those who have a great interest in conflict studies.

The success of the online courses is a key element in UPEACE distance education programme that will eventually offer a full executive MA degree. UPEACE’s unique courses in Media and Peace, Environmental Studies, Gender and Peacebuilding, Peace Education, Sustainable Economic Development and Human Security, among others, will be offered on-line.

The Foundation course on Peace and Conflict Studies will enable individuals who cannot come to the UPEACE campus, to gain new qualifications and skills, and to begin the work for an Executive MA. For more information on the course you can visit http://www.upeace.org/elearning/courses/.
