Imaginative Dignity in Filmmaking: A Plea
by Francisco Gomes de Matos, a peace linguist from Recife, Brazil
Have films been contributing to Human Dignity formation?
Have such artistic creations helped develop a dignifying civilization?
What films have effectively represented an indignant imagination?
What films have been exposing audiences to dehumanization?
Individuals by more and more films are being shocked
Organizations by more and more films are being mocked
Moral values in varied traditions by more and more films are being socked
Is Imaginative Dignity by filmmakers being locked?
All Human Rights on Dignity are solidly based
and that includes the right of access to Imaginative Dignity
How has the motionpicture industry that challenge faced
At a time when many types of violent actions harm Humanity?
For the revitalizing of Imaginative Dignity may this be a plea
So that all engaged in the powerful art of filmmaking can reflect
and decide to make more movies that will help Humankind see
that to be global dignifiers, all ways of indignity we should reject.
