  1. Dearest Linda,

Happy birthday wishes! Your birthday gives us this wonderful moment to celebrate the fine being you are, the dignity you bring to all of us and inspire us to rise toward.

Let me express my admiration for how successfully you hold the pedagogical grounding of the HDHS Conferences. You play the brilliant diamond of a rock to Evelin’s (non-violent) shooting star. But what a radiant warmth you generate despite your firmness. How sensitively you respond to what emerges from the synergy of so many rich contributions, so many wonderful contributors! You are clearly an expert conductor.

In singing your praises, I want to also acknowledge your leadership, your behind-the-scenes, year-round work, and your marvelous partnerships with Evelin and with Rick. You all model how dignity can emerge with a happiness of purpose. This is so refreshing. Together we can feel uplifted despite the seriousness of our commitments to alleviating suffering, to resisting further damaging.

Love, light, and blessings to you dear Linda,
    Janet Gerson
